1. Vova Galchenko I've posted before about the Galchenkos. They are awe inspiring jugglers to be sure. On top of that they are super smart kids. Vova recently became a permanent legal resident of the United States. This can only be a good thing for our country. We need more rational thinkers. If they can also juggle five clubs behind their backs, well then, that's just a bonus.

1. No Quarter While looking for block prints for last week's Etsy Monday, I came across Casey Sorrow's shop.

2. Jetsam I wanted to include one of his works with the other prints, but then decided to give this SCUBA series an entire post.

3. Flotsam Most of Casey's designs are inspired by vintage genre comics which have a graphic quality that lends itself well to the linoleum block cutting technique.

4. Fathom 1 His prints of war scenes are equally impressive.

5. Fathom 2 Also check out Casey's webcomic, Feral Calf, as well as his blog, A Fiend's Folio.

1. Nude Lying on a Sofa In honor of the printmaking class I just started, I'm picking a few nice wood block and linoleum prints on Etsy. First is a linocut by Natalia Moroz who has a whole shop full of great prints

2. Along the Cabot Trail Magprint is another linocutter making nice prints.

3. Hillside Kris Shanks has a collection of woodblock and linocuts for sale as well as some very nice original still life oil paintings.

4. BBQ Jonathan Apgar seems to be a screenprinter primarily, but his shop has a few sweet block prints in it as well.

5. Untitled This print by Connie Pierson has a softly refined quality not often seen in block prints. The fact that is is cut from wood rather than linoleum makes it all the more impresive.

1. Pebbles Koi Dennis Finley of artdecoco has a lot of really nice looking koi pond paintings for ridiculously low prices.

2. Palm Pendant I really like this slightly creepy, carved bone necklace from The Bead Fantasy.

3. Fenced In Although Maeve paints in a few different styles, and has a lot of paintings available, these jumbled, abstracted city scapes are the ones that I like most.

4. She Loves Being A Mom Alison Strine has tons of cool stuff in her shop. I especially enjoy these bird head collage pendants and her license plate charms.

5. Bird on Cherry Blossom Pillow I love these screenprinted pillows from Joom. She could probably make them in custom colors to fit your decor.

4. Octopus Tote Appliqued black velvet on a green corded tote bag from Jes Switaj.

5. Monster Kids Teacup The Argyle Academy has teacups adorned with monster kids like Marcus the Mummy, Peter the Vampire, X-Ray, and Patrick the Wolfman.

1. Diligence is the Source of Empowerment Lana Lambert is a block printer and printing press collector in Virginia

2. Untitled 3 Her print work is inspired by Japanese woodblock techniques, and seems to have an Arts and Crafts influence as well.

3. Arbouricon I All of her work invokes images of nature and is "....made to show an individual a moment in time in a forest."

4. Arbouricon II In my eyes, however, her greatest accomplishment comes in the form of altered books and papercuts.

5. Scholar's Reference These book sculptures features the alteration of thick hardcover tomes, or papercut pages bound together in between wooden covers.

1. Cat Tails Marissa Lee is a fine art printmaker living and working in Boston.

2. Reaching Out Her original works often blend non-representational expressionism with abstractions of natural subjects.

3. Fall She uses traditional woodcutting techniques to create her distinctly non-traditional multi-layered prints.

4. Springtime Willow Although all of M. Lee's prints are exceptionally affordable, she also offers smaller original works, as well as jewelry and other accessories, for those on a limited budget.
