1. Asciimation Just when I think I've got too much time on my hands.

2. Starlings Thousands of starlings creating crazy patterns in the air. I'm not sure why starlings get such a bad rap, what makes them worse than any other kind of bird? There's also a cool video of a swarm of starlings repeatedly landing on a tree and weighing down its branches.

3. Jackdaw with Yarn More artwork from Etsy. Keeping in the spirit of the birds link above, is this print by freakydarling. Only $7.00.

4. Boner I'm a big fan of the "over-do-it" school of comedy. Take something that isn't really that funny, repeat it and it keeps getting less funny, then all of a sudden it starts getting funnier and funnier. Click around the rest of the site for more comic innuendo.

5. Vegware Plastic silverware may be the most grossly over-engineered product of modern times. Use a fork once and it will last for thousands of years. These guys say their potato starch based products will biodegrade within 90 days after using.

1. Arrested Development: Season 3 Release Date: August 29th, MSRP: $29.98 (probably about $17 after discounts.) It looks like this is turning into The Jason Bateman Fanclub. Really, I hated that kid on Silver Spoons and I didn't really care for the way they just let Sandy Duncan move in when Valerie Harper died.

2. Burning Flag Burning It isn't a done deal yet, but it looks like the guys that matter in the senate are against this blatantly un-American amendment. Still, you never know. So if you've been wanting to burn a flag, you had better do it pretty soon just to be on the safe side.

3. Dear Utah, This guy, John Jacob, wants to be your congressman. He believes the devil opposes him. His real opponent, Chris Common, might be crazy too. I don't know. Best wishes.

4. No More Girls Scouts A lot of people like Thin Mint Cookies. I don't. Even if I did I wouldn't pay $6 a box for them. I also don't like hippies. Be warned this recipe is touted as being "all natural."

5. The New Blue Etsy really is a good place to get inexpensive, innovative artwork. It is also a great place for struggling artists to get a little exposure. Check out this great print by Lilinini. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate myself for making it through a full week without skipping a day. Good job

007 - Monkey Tuesday

1. Florida Skunk Ape After it's capture by military forces in the 1970's, "rumor has it that a live specimen of the Skunk Ape was taken to a large vault where it was held at Everglades National Park until it allegedly managed to escape by breaking through a concrete wall." Hmm.

2. Japan - Monkey - Rollerskates Also check out part two in which the monkey does handstands and ball balancing. Keep your eyes peeled for part three in which he mauls audience members.

3. Vatican: "Enough Already" Even the Vatican has had enough of the intelligent design "debate." So please give it a rest. ''The faithful have the obligation to listen to that which secular modern science has to offer," says Cardinal Paul Poupard.

4. World's Best Animated Gif A lot of people have done animations of the famous Patterson bigfoot film, but there is some real artistry in the way this one flows across your screen.

5. Peace Out Finishing up here on Monkey Tuesday is a Brian Brasher designed t-shirt (based on the above mentioned Patterson footage) from Threadless.

1. World's Oldest Tortoise: Dead Harriet the Galapagos Tortoise may have been kidnapped and studied by Charles Darwin, but she lived a long and happy life in captivity. Now she's dead of a heart attack at age 176. We hardly knew ye. Rest in peace.

2. Tiny Talking Cat-Faced Monkey Man This isn't really that far from where I live, and believe me, if I run across this thing, I don't know what I'll do, but I sure won't offer it a freaking ride home.

3. Paralyzed Rat Walks! One more step towards making stem cell research one of the really great things that we aren't allowed to mess with.

4. Rooster and Kitten are Friends More Japanese television. This time an adorable little kitty is best friends with a horrific rooster. This clip only gives a small portion of the story, so we don't know how it ends. I don't think it is happy, though. P.S. Anyone else would have substituted "cat" and "rooster" with genitalia references.

5. Animalphabet And finishing off today's all animal theme is a t-shirt called Alphabet Zoo designed by Sara Lee over at Threadless. On an administrative note, I'm now taking your submissions for an upcoming all-request weekend.

1. Pitagora Suicchi Everyone loves Japanese television, right? I can't help but smile every time that little ball gets to the end and the jingle plays.

2. Gary Busey Loves Trains Not only is Gary Busey crazy, he also loves trains. He loves parallel universes too. I really don't know what to make of this. You be the judge. Turn your speakers down a little.

3. New Futurama Episodes I liked Family Guy, I thought it was funny, and I bought the DVDs. Since it came back on TV, I haven't seen a single episode. Maybe I'll try harder this time. I was trying to find a picture of that dog that dies alone, but I didn't want to make J.D. cry.

4. Morgellon's Disease Why does anyone care about the freaking bird flu when there are crazy unbelievable diseases like this floating around? And human beings are actually getting them.

5. Gigan Somebody already purchased this drawing before I had a chance to buy it, but Nathan The Artist seems to be cranking out more art for the world to enjoy. I'd like to suggest more scenes of urban destruction as his work seems to fit well into the Giant Monster School of fine art.

1. Aaron Spelling: Dead I never really watched any Spelling shows, except for Love Boat, but that was when I was too young to make TV decisions for the family. I was also forced to sit through every terrifying second of Fantasy Island, because it came on right after Love Boat. Anyway here's a quote. "There is never great Spelling, only degrees of terribleness." Rest in peace.

2. Blueprint The strange thing is that I don't even wear printed t-shirts. I guess I just like to look at them. Check this one out at Threadless. I couldn't be bothered to read the fine print, but I'm guessing it is clever and/or ironic.

3. Xenu TV A large collection of videos exposing Scientology. There are some tongue in cheek Michael Moore-esque ambush videos, but also interesting interviews with ex-members and people that have lost family members to Xenu.

4. Wooden Bike Another awesome wooden bike, again with very little information, but this one looks pretty functional.

5. Kropka I honestly don't know what a kropka is, but it sounds Russian and it can be yours for only $21.

1. The Jake Effect Before Arrested Development (sometime after Teen Wolfe Too) Jason Bateman starred in this great single camera sitcom. NBC ordered 7 episodes and then decided not to air even one of them. See the pilot episode at Bravo's Brilliant But Cancelled site. Or search a bittorrent site for the entire run. Be aware (i.e. surprised) that Nikki Cox wears no tight and/or low cut tops.

2. Dinosaur Wallet It seems like, the less money I have, the more interested I get in wallets. Plus, you know, it has a dinosaur on it

5. If Only This Bike Was a Motorcycle The crazy thing is that The Rumblestrips have at least one awesome video getting played internationally, yet they haven't released an album. Only a double A side 7 inch single. That's vinyl. In the year 2006.

1. Wendy the Golden Retriever An awesome little handmade stuffed toy described as "an outdoorsy sort of dog who loves spending time by the lake."

2. I Love the 80's A huge collection of music videos from the 1980's. They have all the expected wedding reception garbage like AHA, but then you find "Close to the Edit" by Art of Noise. Keep digging and you'll be surprised by stuff like a Gang of Four live performance and Husker Du's "Could You be the One." I don't think I've ever seen the Pixies video for "Debaser" either.

3. Tree Branch Bike There isn't a whole lot of info here, so I'm not sure if this is a functioning bike, or just an art piece. It doesn't seem to have any pedals or a seat, so...

4. Spindle Tee A beautifully simple and graphic t-shirt design. I wish I had thought of that.

5. Cervical Cancer Bead Kit Help end cancer, get some junk, and stick it to the crazy religious people who would rather see young people die than have a little pre-marital sex. All for free.
