1. There Goes an Asshole
It is a well know fact that the only way to get over the trauma of having something stolen from you is to write a song about it. It helps a lot if you have security camera footage to go along with the music.

2. Not My Teacher
Another female teacher had relations with a youngster. This story has a twist, though. The youngster in question was not one of her students. He was the teacher's 13 year old daughter's ex-boyfriend.

3. Invisible
This so called "game" is actually some kind of scientific example of how the human brain and the personal computer can become one.

4. Gigantoraptor
Recently discovered, giant, bird-like dinosaur fossils smashing science's currently held notions of how modern birds may have developed.

5. Abduction
Novelty desk lamps across the country are convincing Americans to petition the government for the release of top secret UFO files.

1. UFO
British airline pilot reports seeing a mile wide unidentified flying object. I don't understand how he could possibly estimate how big this thing was. Unless it was right next to something that he unequivocally knew the size of, then he has no reference to judge scale. In an on camera interview he seems to me to be an unreliable witness. I'm going to guess it was a reflection on the glass of the cockpit window.

2. Three Robbers Shot
Apparently, the best way to get the police to come to you aid is to lie to them boldly. Does anyone in the legal profession know if this would be considered illegal.

3. Monolith
I really like the design of this game. Even still, I only got to about level 15 before I moved on to other things.

4. Micro Housing
I really like the idea of simplified living, but I think these homes, even though they are really cool, go a little bit too far. Also, how can the tiny LoftCube possibly be worth $55,000.

5. Elwood
In the past when I've seen the winner of the annual world's ugliest dog contest, I thought, "Aww come on, he doesn't look that bad." this year I didn't think that at all.

Got It Bad

1. Got It Bad
The recent statutory rape trend popular among young female teachers has taken a tragic turn. When Eric McLean, husband of Erin McLean, a student teacher, heard rumors of a relationship between his wife and a student, he allegedly gunned down the 18 year old while he sat in his car. Mr. Mclean was handily captured and is waiting for his hearing on march 27th.

Vote Abductee

2. Vote Abductee
Instead of blaming her recent election loss on the fact that she believes that she was abducted by aliens, former recorder-treasurer of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas is suing the mayor and police chief for somehow preventing her re-election. Place the blame on the citizens that refused to vote for your crazy ass, says the Judge presiding over the case.

Boomshine

3. Boomshine
There really is nothing to this game other than clicking your mouse randomly and waiting to see what happens. However the music, sound, color and simplicity of design all elevate it to the level of art.

Manhunt

4. Manhunt
A tip for those readers that might enjoy breaking into a home and having a wild party when the owner is not at home: If you would rather not get busted, don't take a shitload of photos of yourself in the act and forget to take your digital camera with you when you leave the scene of the crime.

Star Chart

5. Star Chart
I don't really know how this thing works, but it is pretty cool to play around with, and I'm sure that any amateur astronomer would be able to get some use out of it.

Two Faced Calf: Dead

1. Two Faced Calf: Dead
A calf born in December with two faces reached the end of her short life last Friday. Her story will live on in one of the Ripley's Believe It or Not museums across America.

General Tso's Chicken

2. General Tso's Chicken
The convoluted story of how a semi-Taiwanese meal named after a Hunanese general got sugared up in America and then made it's way back to Hunan where it is now touted as a traditional dish.

Great Balls of Fire

3. Great Balls of Fire
Where the hell was I when all these sightings of fireballs were reported across the midwest? I was in-freaking-side. It is zero damn degrees out there.

Possible Criminal Activity

4. Possible Criminal Activity
Simple instuctions on how to hack the Coinstar machine in your grocery store so that you won't have to pay the service fee. This is probably illegal, so you should really just go to your bank and ask them to give you the paper money you so desperately need.

Double Lifts

5. Double Lifts
This, that and the other.

DIY Silly Putty

The real question is: Where do you get liquid starch?

Al-A-Ga-Zam

2. Al-A-Ga-Zam
There are hundreds of entries on the Carny Lingo encyclopedia.

Singapore Sling

3. Singapore Sling
More unidentified flying stuff. This time a bright green light reported all across Singapore. No explaination in sight.

'I Predict a Mild Summer Followed by a Harsh Winter

4. I Predict a Mild Summer Followed by a Harsh Winter
This winter's curious weather is screwing up a lot of stuff. Looks like 2006 was the hottest year in recorded history. I'm taking this opportunity to play Sylvia Browne for 2007's weather report.

Tree Goats

5. Tree Goats
Another Strange phenomenon which may or may not be a result of the warm weather.

Junk Science

2. Junk Science
Russian space junk puts on a light show over Denver Colorado. Check out the video.

It's All in the Fusion Crust

3. It's All in the Fusion Crust
If something crashes into your bathroom, use these criteria to figure out if it is a meteorite or just some man-made junk.

'Organic Globules

4. Organic Globules
If it turns out to be more than space junk, you might be harboring an alien species in your bathroom.

Look Out Lunar Surface!

5. Look Out Lunar Surface!
The moon ain't safe neither

UFO Chicago

1. UFO Chicago
Dozens of people, including airline employees and pilots, report seeing a large saucer shaped UFO hovering over Chicago's O'Hare Airport. It seems suspicious to me that, in this day and age, none of them had a cellphone with a camera feature.

The Top Ten lamest Superheroes

2. The Top Ten Lamest Superheroes
Actual heroes from the world of comic books including Vibe, the Spanish American, breakdancing, former gang leader who can create earthquakes with his awesome dance moves.

Don't Let Go

3. Don't Let Go
The rules are simple: Hold the button! Whatever you do don't, stop holding the button.

'Creationism: The Game

4. Creationism: The Game
You can guess by the name of the store, Living Waters, that this "Intelligent Design vs. Darwinism" board game is probably skewed toward the creationist player. What would the faithful do if the scientific player actually won the game?

The Slave Leia Appreciation Society

5. The Slave Leia Appreciation Society
An incredible flickr pool with nothing but pictures of nerd-girls wearing Princess Leia metal bikini outfits.

Gerald Ford: Dead

1. Gerald Ford: Dead
38th president Gerald Ford died at the age of 93. The only man to have held both the office of President and Vice president without having been elected to either, President Ford also lived the longest life of any of our past leaders, narrowly beating out Reagan by a matter of months. I also think he looked like an astronaut.

Russian Roswell

2. Russian Roswell
Russian news agencies reported that an identified flying object has fallen from the sky into Siberia. No further information at this time.

SteamPed

3. SteamPed
Steam powered mopeds are all the rage in alternate reality versions of London in the 1970's.

'Post-It

4. Post-It
I'd like to find a job that would allow me to screw around making post-it note animation on company time.

Mars

5. Mars
Using flawed planetary astronomy to prove something about Jesus, and the bible, and maybe something about Mars being the actually physical location of hell.

105 - UFO

Shooting Stars

1. Shooting Stars
Somewhere over mexico this giant meteor flew through the atmosphere. The meteoroid itself is large enough that you can actually see it when the flashing occasionally subsides. Much cooler than these jet contrails mistaken for flaming UFOs over Washington state.

Giant Saucers

2. Giant Saucers
All the UFO books and websites use these types of lenticular clouds, but I find it hard to believe than anyone could ever mistake a cloud, no matter how cool it looks, for an interstellar spacecraft.

B-2

3. B-2
Apparently, this guy hasn't seen an action or spy movie in the past 15 years because he's freaking out about this stealth bomber that he believes is the first indication of imminent hostile alien invasion. He must have seen a couple of sci-fi movies or played some UFO Attack video games.

Fairy Rings

4. Fairy Rings
It seems that some legitimately mysterious crop circles do appear occasionally. They are small and round. But, all evidence points to the big fancy ones being created by groups of circle making artists and drunk teenagers.

Cow Abduction

5. Cow Abduction
I saw this website a while ago and thought it had been taken down. It is the beginning of a viral marketing campaign for the milk industry. Please watch the small video. Every one of the actors in it should be given honorary Oscars.

I'm starting a new feature here. On Tuesdays I'll provide a rundown of the DVDs being released, that I woud buy if money were not an issue. I'm archiving these posts over at The New Release Roundup.

Time Fountain 1. Time Fountain
I don't really know what this is or how it works, but it involves water drops and strobe lights, and it is totally awesome.

Rapper MC Plus+ rhymes about algorithms and computer programming. Buy his CDs or just download all the tracks he has generously offered.

Apollo 11 3. Apollo 11
Astronaut, Buzz Aldrin describes the experience of observing a UFO during the Apollo 11 moon mission. Remember that UFO just means unidentified flying object. There is no implicit alien connection.

After falling off a cliff, a camper sued the government for not post a sign warning of the danger. Last time I went camping I fell out of my bunk-bed and broke may arm. There were no warning signs about that either.

Lego Guitar 5. Lego Guitar
Some guy with even more time on his hands than me built a working, playable guitar out of lego block.
