1. Maximum Headroom In 1987 some hackers/pirates broke into the Chicago PBS station during Dr. Who and aired their own short program. You'd think if you had the skills and equipment to do this, you'd plan what you wanted to do. These guys put on a Max Headroom mask and muttered incomprehensible nonsense. They were never caught.

2. Captain Midnight In 1986, a disgruntled satellite dish operator, in a vague protest against premium television rates, overrode the HBO signal with one of his own. He was quickly caught and fined.

3. 20 Minutes Into the Future "The most complete site on the history, milieu and supporting crew of the '80s icon, cyberpunk legend and advertising avatar."

4. Matt Frewer Even though it isn't available yet on DVD, you can still see the complete Max Headroom series by downloading it from a popular bittorrent site.

5. How To Doctor Mabuse, gives instructions on the best way to interrupt the signal of a television station of you want to become the next Max Headroom. I'm assuming this information is completely outdated as it was published in 1987.
