1. Hail, Hail
It seems like there has been a rash of heavy shit falling out of the sky and smashing stuff up. This time it is another giant chunk of ice that landed on some poor sucker's car.. |
2. Giant Baby
The average birth weight is 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Ademilton Ramos was born in Brazil weighing in at over 17 pounds. Geez. |

1. No Quarter
While looking for block prints for last week's Etsy Monday, I came across Casey Sorrow's shop. |
2. Jetsam
I wanted to include one of his works with the other prints, but then decided to give this SCUBA series an entire post. |
3. Flotsam
Most of Casey's designs are inspired by vintage genre comics which have a graphic quality that lends itself well to the linoleum block cutting technique. |
4. Fathom 1
His prints of war scenes are equally impressive. |

1. Paris
Even if you won't admit it, I'm sure you want to see the new Paris Hilton sex videos that are hitting the internet. |
2. Paris
It seems Miss Hilton didn't pay the bill on her storage unit. |
3. Paris
After multiple failed attempts to contact her, the storage company eventually auctioned off the contents of Mss Hilton's unit. |
4. Paris
The high bidders have been cataloging the new collection of Hilton ephemera which includes not only her personal diaries but multiple video tapes of Paris and friends engaging in sexual acts and drug use. |
5. Paris
Out of the goodness of their hearts, they have decided to make much of this information and footage available to the public. |

1. Drugged, Dying or What?
Of course you've seen it before, but you know you wanted to see the classic zombie vs shark scene from Lucio Fulci's Zombi in low resolution youtube vision. |
2. Shoot Up
I don't know if there is a point to this game other than just shooting zombies. Fo me they just kept coming faster and faster and nothing else happened. Maybe you can do better. |
3. Zombie Computers a Growing Threat
Is your computer part of a ‘botnet’, or one of tens or even hundreds of thousands of compromised computers, under the control of one of the ‘bad guys’ using your computer to commit Internet fraud and other crimes? |
4. Zombie Snail
More on parasites inducing zombi-ism in tiny animals from nature programs. |
5. How To Make a Real Zombie

2. Monkey Mouse
Paleontologist, Jonathan Bloch, and a new fossil discovery in Yellowstone National Park, lend credence to the notion that early primates evolved from small mouse-like mammals that may have flourished soon after the cataclysm that wiped out the dinosaurs. |
3. Chimpasic Park
A mystery developed in Louisiana when Teresa, a primate resident of Chimp Haven turned up pregnant, even though all of her male roommates have had vesectemies. Life will find a way! |
4. Great Ape
A giant gorilla is on the loose in the town of Carrollton, Texas. You'll be able to recognize him because he is "wearing blue boxers and a yellow shirt." |

1. Nude Lying on a Sofa
In honor of the printmaking class I just started, I'm picking a few nice wood block and linoleum prints on Etsy. First is a linocut by Natalia Moroz who has a whole shop full of great prints |
3. Hillside
Kris Shanks has a collection of woodblock and linocuts for sale as well as some very nice original still life oil paintings. |
5. Untitled
This print by Connie Pierson has a softly refined quality not often seen in block prints. The fact that is is cut from wood rather than linoleum makes it all the more impresive. |

1. Post It
"The time of the rapture is at hand... Do you know someone who is in danger of being "left behind" because of a sinful life? Imagine if you could write a letter to a friend or loved one after the Great Day of Reckoning." |
2. Holy Tic
Not only has it been fairly definitively proven that there are no health benefits to be had from prayer, now it seems that there is some evidence to suggest that too much praying can actually cause health problems.. |
3. Homeless or Jesus?
Based mostly on close ups of beards, can you tell Jesus from a homeless man? |
4. Letters to God
About 300 letters sent to a New Jersey minister in order to be prayed over ended up dumped in the ocean, most of them unopened and unread. An incredible book waiting to be published. More on letters to god. |
5. Veronicas
Who knew that the Shroud of Turin was not the only supposedly miraculous image of Jesus preserved on cloth? |

1. Fraud
It is being reported by a lot of websites and blogs that Sylvia Browne has been caught in another in an ever growing list of "psychic errors." In 2003, she calously reported that a recently missing boy, Shawn Hornbeck was dead. You probably have heard that Shawn was reunited with his family on January 13th. |
2. Jungle Girl
The BBC is reporting on a "half-human and half-animal" Cambodian girl who has been living in the wild for the the past 19 years. The article is woefully lacking in details and seems sketchy for some reason. |
3. Bass Diddley Bow
I'm not entirely sure what The Ministry of Hope is all about, but damn, these are some talented kids playing awesome homemade instruments. |
4. Welcome Back
When Lewis Hill returned home to East St. Lewis from vacation he was surprised to find that the city had demoloshed his home. Another unfortunately, sketchy article without a lot of information and absolutely no input from the city about their side of the story. |
5. Internet Justice
Be careful about what you say to people in internet chatrooms. Painting by Tim Nyberg. |
